June didn’t leave a lot of time for sheet masks but here is the round up of what I tried out… the good, the bad, and the pungent!
Natural ingredients. Green tea, certella asiatica licorice, chamomile, scutellaria baicalensis, rosemary, polygonum cuspidatum root, hyaluronic acid, cal agen. Swiss valais grown 7 kinds of plant(giga white) combined, plant natural estrogen isoflavones rich pomegrante extract
First off this mask looked really appealing and once taken out of the package the color was quite yummy looking and reminding me in look and smell to that of a fruit roll-up! The fit was great and neatly adhered to my skin without the usual mask’s annoying oozing of the essence thanks to the embossed gel design! Over all my skin was hydrated and felt thoroughly moisturized can’t say I noticed much brightening of the skin, but a solid mask experience.
I got this little baby in a swap with cute pretty beauty Right off the bat the ingredients impressed me and sounded like a cocktail for a smoothie at your local vegan cafe. Featuring ingredients like grapefruit kale broccoli lemon carrot vitamin C as well as local honey and promising to whiten and purify the skin. Also boasts using corn leaves for a bio-degradable and safe Eco-friendly mask.(Something I’ve never seen from any other sheet mask to date )
With an impressive ingredients list and the nifty bio-degradable mask itself, I expected a lot more from this mask but didn’t really feel it provided spectacular results. Hydrated and moisturize skin but a little disappointed. However the ingredients and especially the biodegradable Eco-friendly mask make me want to delve further into this brand and try more.
Picked up the entire set of Cicapair series(review soon) from Dr Jart along with this mask at my local Olive Young. Some intriguing looking ingredients though I wish they were a bit higher in the list. The first The 1st thing that I noticed Or should I say overwhelmed Me was the incredibly strong smell. Similar to Vick’s Vapor Rub or menthol or perhaps even the time honored 80s kids’ cure all Camphophenique. Definitely the strongest smelling sheet mask I’ve ever used to date.

After My initial cringe of the masks smell I actually began to like it and found it quite refreshing I’m further pleased to report after taking the mask off after the Suggested 20 minutes I was thoroughly impressed with how clear my skin was of any patches of red or irritated skin or my usual flushed look after cleansing was completely gone! I would definitely repurchase this mask and recommend it to those with irritated skin that an intense calming and soothing effect.

Innisfree Second Skin Mask “Lifting Soybean Fermented Sheet”
Innisfree masks are hit-and-miss for me but I’ve had some great luck in the past with their soy essence so I decided to give this mask a try. The mask boast an impressive 5 day fermentation process with bacillus bacteria ending in a concentrated sheet mask form of the soy concoction. The 1st thing I noticed was how incredibly thin this mask was a little difficult to work with And very similar to the 2nd skin moisture mask from innisfree but maybe even 1/3 its thickness! I’m a huge fan of the innisfree 2nd skin moisturizing mask and its mask I’ve repurchased to several times even though this was a little hard to work with I would definitely repurchase because of its impressive tightening ability’s I definitely felt my skin was more taut and felt ultra hydrated.
I can’t lie I straight up bought this mask because of its novelty super hero cat woman look. This is my 3rd of these masks and I’ve given them out to friends and family as stocking stuffers.

“The eye goggle patch makes skin around the eyes elastic and bright with its dual function of anti-wrinkle+whitening. The closely adhering vaseline and oil gel provide abundant moisture and nourishment to tired skin around the eyes. ”
Definitely felt moisturized and hydrated after but really this mask is just plain fun to use! This is why it’s one I often send to friends who are curious and want to play around or experiment with the “cuteness” K beauty has to offer. It has a great fit and yes because of the petroleum and oil it stays moist for longer and it ahere’s perfectly to the skin and eye area. There is definitely a brightening effect and the skin is nicely hydrated afterward I would recommend for a fun K beauty experience and for its instant brightening/hydrating effect.
I had high hope for this mask seeing ingredients like Kaolin and Bentonite high in the list. Having been a big fan of Amazonian Clay, i looked forward to possibly having a solution to the tedious clean up after using such a mask.
Ingredients: Water, Kaolin, Butylene Glycol, Bentonite, Polysorbate 20, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, sea silt, Betaine, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Volcanic Ash, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Methyl Glucose Sesquistearatem, Sodium Polyacrylate, Polywinyl Alcohol, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, Trideceth-6, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana(Witch Hazel Extract, Glycerin, Sodium Oleate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Disodium EDTA. The directions advise applying cream to eye, brow, and mouth areas… assumedly to avoid overly drying out these areas. The eye holes are particularly small on this mask so it’s pretty counter productive to avoiding the eye/brow area but as advised, I did apply a cream to those areas. The mesh mask made drying time quite a bit longer than the package indicated and longer than the usual time a clay mask would need to fully dry. When it did finally completely dry almost an hour later, it dried with the random wrinkles from movements of my face in the actual mask so that as I peeled it off, it left wrinkle indentations in my skin. The good news was that my skin felt GLORIOUSLY soft and smooth to the touch!
Having had a less than desirable first time application(and luckily earlypicker sent me 3 masks in my PR kit!) I took another whirl at this mask!
For the second time around, I was extra careful and made sure to try to keep the edges and all crinkles in the mask as smooth and flat as possible to avoid anymore indentations left in my skin. This next application turned out perfectly with no issues.
I liked the idea of streamlining a clay mask but ultimately the design of the mask itself did give me some issues. I do wish Aprilskin would modify the design to increase the eye hole openings to keep totally clear of the delicate eye skin and brows.
Have you tried any of these masks lately?
