Oxygenceuticals Haul: sensitive skin & post laser care

Oxygenceuticals is a brand that originally sprung from a popular spa. They specialize in post care and sensitive skin issues as well as anti aging solutions.  Their focus is on incorporating the use of pure oxygen into their products to help alleviate each of these issues. They offer a comprehensive list of skin care systems for various skin problems.

I met this brand at one of the last K beauty expos here in Seoul and was interested to learn more about their brand and products. I was gifted* a choice of their many skin care sets. I’m always in the market for good anti aging and wrinkle prevention products so I opted for their ANTIWRINKLE KIT.

* I’ve also been undergoing a weekly laser and various skin treatment regimen so I was interesting to see if it was really as sensitive skin and post care friendly as it was touted to be.

Included in this kit is the Toning Gel, Moisture Aqua Serum, Skin Barrier Fluid, and a pack of the Cryo Gel Velvet masks.

So first off was the cryo gel velvet mask!  The 1st time I tried these was right after I got home from laser treatments. I was a little nervous because on the day of treatments are usually have sensitive and raw skin.  The masks are made of some interesting materials and include 3 layers. First of polyurethane, then mesh, and then the active ingredient that is the “hydro gel” that sort of adhered to the inside of the mask.

So this was actually really calming and soothing for my irritated skin. There was no burning tingling or anything slightly irritating about the feel of the mask. Afterward my skin felt really hydrated but, also like it had a protective barrier which was very soothing and calming.  The only downside was that the material is sick and a little bit more stiff so it doesn’t really add here and contour to the skin as some thinner masks do.  Still very happy with these mast and have been using directly have continued to use after skin treatments with no issues.

Water Glycerin.Butylene Glycol, Niacinamide,Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride Ceratonia Siliqua Gum,Chondrus Crispus Powder,Tamarindus indica Seed Gum Potassium Chioride.Hydrolyzed Collagen Polysorbate 60.chiorphenesin,Polyacrylate-13 Polyisobutene, Polysorbate 20,Sorbitan isostearate,Sodium Hyaluronate,PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil,Glycymhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger Root Extract Schizandra Chinensis Fruit Extract,Coptis Japonica Root Extract,Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract Asiaticoside,Propolis Wax.Ethytheoyl glycerin 1.2-Hexanediol Disodium EDTA,Oxygen,Adenosine,Potassium Hydroxide, Tocopheryl Acetate, Fragrance

The toning gel I didn’t really have any high hopes for because I’m not one for toning my skin. When I think of toning I usually think of astringents and my skin feeling tight. However, there were some really awesome ingredients that sounded lovely such as chamomile, azulene, Lavender extract and vitamin A.  The gel claims to calm and improve skin texture and tone.  It felt calling to my skin there was no irritation or tingling sensation at all. There was also no feeling of tight skin or itchiness that toners often have.

Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Propy lene Glycol Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate,Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract,Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Carbomer, Arginine, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract, Nelumbium Speciosum Flower Extract, Artemisia Annua Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract, Saccharomyces Ferment,Gly cymhizaGlabra Licorice Root Extract, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract,Zan thoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract,Pulsatilla Koreana Extract,Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Adenosine,Sodium PCA,Allantoin, Disodium EDTA, Gleditschia Australis Thorn Extract,Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract, Prunella vulgaris Leaf Extract,Cnidium Mon nieri Fruit Extract, TocopherylAcetate, Oxygen, Butylene glycol,1,2-hexanediol,CI 42090, Fragrance

I actually really like this and with the ingredients being so lovely I almost wish more toners were in a gel form like this!

The Aqua Moisture Serum sounded lovely and I use serums in my daily regimen both night and day.  This serum also had a slight Jill like texture that glides on smoothly and absorbs extremely quickly. It leaves behind absolutely no stickiness Commerce something that I really appreciate so it’s great for day time application.  Left my skin feeling soft, smelling ultra light but clean and not heavy.

Next was the Anti Oxidant Cream designed to “restore and fortify” the skin.  Of all of these products I loved the smell of this one most it because it had the lightest, faintly sweet smell.  Though it is a cream and I’m not typically a fan of facial creams because they don’t often feel like they absorb properly to me. This one however absorbed quickly and left a velvety feel to my skin.  Thumbs up for its ability to absorb and layer nicely under other products/makeup!

Lastly, the Skin Barrier Fluid, the product I was MOST excited to try!

I was definitely not disappointed by this product! Seoul has been the absolute worst this year in terms of freezing cold temperatures and absolute lack of humidity.  I had originally started using this just at night because it is a thicker product but the weather has been brutal so I’ve started wearing it during the day time as the last layer right under my makeup.  This is really helped my skin to stop getting flaky and irritated from the bitter cold winds.

This ANTIWRINKLE kit did not disappoint and I’m excited to try some of their other kits

*All products absorbed quickly and gave a feeling of moisturizing protection over my skin.

Other than their ANTIWRINKLE kit, they offer a wide range of skin care kits for each type of issue.
