LJH Review: Lee Gee Haam HYAL B5 series and hyaluronic acid

20171220_073556-01LJH, also known as Lee Gee Haam and formerly Leejiham has already earned a following thanks to their popular Vita-Propolis serum. As one of my first reviews, I was already a big fan of this brand. Recently I recieved a package of some of their newest Hyal B5 products as well as some of their other top selling products.

So hyaluronic acid is huge in skin care around the world right now but why this particular ampoule and toner or special is that they feature 5 different types of hyaluronic acid! Not one single millimeter of your skin’s surface can escape the intensely hydrating effects.

Hyaluronic acid works by pulling moisture from the air that’s already present and plumping your skin up with it.  Korea can be very drying for your skin there isn’t much moisture here other than the few summer months when the humidity is at an all time high. This is why I like to use the majority of my products with hyaluronic acid in the post shower/post hot bath bathroom atmosphere(where I’m sure to suck up a ton of the humidity around me).   If there is not much humidity around you, hyaluronic acids can actually pull moisture from the deeper layers of your skin! Thats why I stick to using my hyaluronic acid products either in a steamy bathroom or with a humidifier near. It’s just my way of doing things and it also helps to separate which types of products I use and when.

Loved this toner’s more substantial, slightly thicker feel than the usual watery toner consistency.  Particularly pleased with the pump dispenser! Maybe it’s just laziness but I absolutely love it when something has a pump dispenser so it literally takes 2 seconds to get the product I need out.

Key Ingredients:

*5 Penta-Hyaluronic Acid
(Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ascorbyl Propyl Hyaluronate)
Infuses intensive and deep moisturizing to the skin.

*Vitamin B5 (panthenol) & B3 (niacinamide)
form a moisture barrier on the skin’s surface helping to prevent moisture loss and at the same time, protecting skin from outer damage.

The ampoule itself is fortified with a vitamin B5 complex that helps to balance the oils of your skin, plus extracts from the famous resurrection plant that magically retains moisture and life during even the worst drought periods.

So I’ve been using all of these products for several weeks and of all the hyaluronic acid toting formulas I’ve tried, these seem to be a great choice. My skin is actually so plumped with fluid and hydration after one of my long hot bath’s that my skin has a nice flush to it as if I’ve done a quick sprint. I love the effects and I also love the texture of the ampoule and toner. They glide on luxuriously and absorb quickly. There’s nothing to sticky about them either. T hey work very well under other products that I apply after I step away from the tub and sauna like atmosphere of the closed off bathroom.

So this cream is already a favorite with many but was one that I hadn’t had a chance to test out yet. Its an ultra creamy, buttery, gooey bit of goodness formulated with 50% extract of bee propolis. Propolis is loaded with natural antioxidants and vitamins to help seal in moisture(I loved using this on my hands as well🐝). This works especially well under foundation.

Key Ingredients:

*Propolis Extract
Immediately revitalizes and nourishes dull and tired skin.

*Portulaca Oleracea
Immediate soothing care with a perfect balancing.

*5% hippophae rhamnoides fruit extract (also known as vitamin tree) brightens up the overall skin tone.

LJH Doctor’s Care Recovery Balm SPF 28 PA++

LJH Doctor’s Care Recovery Balm is an ultra creamy BB cream that gives high coverage without looking overly dewy. I like that it doesn’t feel like heavy caked on make up yet seems to give a great amount of coverage. So much so that at my last dermatological visit my doctor actually complimented me on my skin and how great it looked. It definitely got a thumbs up from the right authority on great skin.

Key Ingredients:

*Gingko Biloboa extract to help uneven skintone.

*Willow herb extract to help soothe sensitive skin.

water, cyclopentasiloxane, titanium dioxide, glycerin, butylene glycol, talc, cetyl peg/ppg-10/1 dimethicone, dimethicone, arbutin, butylene glycol dicaprylate/dicaprate,ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, ethylhexyl salicylate, zinc oxide, isoeicosane, magnesium sulfate, polyglyceryl-4 isostearate, dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer, dipentaerythrityl hexahydroxystearate/hexastearate/hexarosinate, trihydroxystearin, iron oxides(CI 77492), silica, acrylates/dimethicone copolymer, disteardimonium hectorite, phenoxyethanol, vinyl dimethicone/methicone silsesquioxane crosspolymer, methicone, iron oxides(CI 77491), aluminum hydroxide, iron oxides(CI 77499),aluminum stearate, ethylhexylglycerin, fragrance, adenosine, bellis perennis (daisy) flower extract, epilobium angustifolium flower/leaf/stem extract, ginkgo biloba nut extract

I recently ran out of my innisfree powder compact so I was definitely in need of a new  pressed powder and this worked perfectly. It’s almost like a combination of pressed powder with a hint of color for coverage but very finely milled like a finishing powder. Seems to maintain same color throughout the day and not oxidize and turn slightly orange like some powders seem to do on my skin.

Key Ingredients:

*Natural Covering Powder
Soft focus effect reflects light reaching face to make it more radiant and clean.

*7-Tea Complex
Cares for skin troubles and at the same time, helps skin regain vitality and comfort.
