Troiareuke Haul Review

Troiareuke is one of those brands that really has a message that speaks to me, “99% skincare 1% makeup.” What a great message and something more brands could strive for. I was gifted a fabulous array of their products both through the Seoul Blogger Brunch as well as gifted personally so I’ve had the unique chance to try some of their top products.

They feature an array of skincare products to address a multitude of issues from acne prone/sensitive skin to anti-aging and sun protection. They also carry 3 types of cushion foundations to support each main skincare concern. The Seoul Aesthetic Cushion for anti-aging, H+ Cushion for hydration, and A+ cushion for acne prone skin.

The A+ Cushion seems to be the darkest of the trio and is intented for sensitive acne prone skin.  Noteable ingredients include Calendula, Centella Asiatica, Tea Tree, and bentonite. While I love that it stays matte throughout the day(an amazing feet in itself), I reserve it for breakout day since it’s slightly drying for my continually parched skin.  It’s quite hard to find that middle road between tons of moisture and overly dewy or oily skin. I love all 3 of these cushions and use them according to what my skin is doing on any particular day or needing on any particular day.

I have their 3 current cushions, the Seoul Aesthetic cushion, H+ cushion, and A+ cushion. Each of these is a fabulous cushion for daily wear my favorite of course being the Seoul Aesthetic Cushion because of the fabulous array of peptides featured in the formula.  These cushions make me feel confident that my makeup is working for my skin to gradually improve its condition and I love that about Troiareuke products!   The cushion has medium to full coverage and comes in only one shade that is a bit dark for my skin tone but, I manage if I mix in my ultra light concealer from Colour Pop to help brighten up other areas of my face. I absolutely love this cushion I just wish they had a bigger variety of shades and that is also a wish for the H + and A+ cushions.

The H+ Cushion is so moisturizing and is also a medium to full coverage foundation. Notable ingredients include Antocyanin and Centella Asiatic. Of the 3 cushions, it seems to be the lightest which is great for me. However the formula leaves me a bit dewy for my taste though it is a great option and I’m looking forward to using it more when the Winter weather starts taking hold here in Seoul.

🚩 the downside of these lovely cushions is the lack of shade range. I also wish they came with one refill as many cushion brands usually do when purchasing full compact. They will hopefully expand their shade range especially if they intend on hitting into the Western market place. As it is now, I have to use a lighter concealer to help make the A+ and Seoul Aesthetic cushions work for my skintone.  Even though they are both a bit too dark for me I just love the formulas and will continue to use each.

I use 2 of the 4 Troiareuke complex sprays and I love both of them! The balancing complex is fabulous and gives me an over all healthy glow and feeling of perfectly balanced, moisturized skin. Since it doesn’t feel too heavy, it’s one I love to use under my make. The anti-aging complex spray is especially lovely right after I get out of the shower and before I carry on with my heavier nightly routine. Each of these sprays gives me a supple feeling and bounce to my skin and I absolutely love that the ingredients are not harmful or toxic.  The Troiareuke team even did a “one shot” demonstration at the Seoul Blogger brunch to prove how safe the base ampoule of the spray complexes are. It was a definite crowd pleaser!

Some of the noteable ingredients in the skin complex formulas:

“Kava Kava herb extract

Strong moisturizing ingredient, calming and relaxation effect

• Ellagic acid [quadruple effect of Albutin]

Brightening effect on skin & Cell purification

• Anthocyanin [quadruple effect of Retinol]

DNA restoration & Wrinkle improvement

• Catechin extract

Antibacterial, anti-inflamation effect & Skin Cooling effect”

Definitely a step up from your typical sunscreen! It includes Centella Asiatica, Portulaca Oleracea extract, and a peptide complex to help rejuvenate and heal the skin. I absolutely love it because it’s been perfect for my skin while I’ve been going through laser and mole/freckle removal. Obviously my skin is really sensitive around this time and this product has worked so well for me!  It has SPF50+/PA+++ but, absorbs quickly into the skin without greasiness or any heavy feeling.

Troiareuke even adds a cute personal touch with a skincare prescription esthetician signed note!  Not sure if this comes with every order from them but it certainly was lovely to find this in my gifted box.

Troiareuke is overall one of my favorite Korean beauty brands and one to look out for on the trending Kbeauty scene!
